Chapter 3 - "school lockdown"
Yes, you are good to go.” said the doctor. I could tell he was getting impatient. “Ok, help me out of this bed, Daddy.” I said as if he really was. “Ok, pumpkin,” Chefy said sarcastically. The doctor gave me crutches, and wanted me to stay out of P.E. for awhile.
When we got to the car I said, “Do know where my school is Chefy?” He replied, “Yes, your mother told me you are just so lucky I don’t have the cameras with me anymore. I told them to take the day off.” I was thinking he didn’t know anything about the town because he was looking at every street name so I decide to give him a hand in directions. “Turn here” “I know. I know!” he said in an angry tone. “Just trying to help, gosh,” I mumbled.
When we got to the school, the weather had changed from being sunny and now the clouds were rolling in the sky now is turning green. Then we saw it drop from above. A TORNADO. We got out of the car. Chefy and I ran to the school. He held me next to the door holding on as if I was his real daughter. Then it popped into my mind my mom and him were exactly alike, both single, and Mom isn’t dating right now. So, I thought this just might work out. “Try to open the doors,” he said. I tugged and tugged but the school had gone into lockdown. “I can’t they are locked but there is a ditch around the corner!” I had to yell over the howling winds. “Run over there and I will follow you!” he screamed at the top of his lungs. I turned the corner and the tornado was heading straight towards the school that held all of my friends. I had to think of myself at this time not my friends. Suddenly it changed course and now was heading straight towards me! next>>>
