I wrote this story to read to my family at dinner on Friday the 13th, July, 2007
Chapter 1 - "the uninvited guest"
The magical realm of Severna has goblins, elves, and all sorts of evil creatures and of course, cute little creatures like bunnytops. My story is about Kolom the goblin.
Kolom turned his head out the window to look at the creature coming up from the pathway. “Who could that be?” Kolom questioned him self. He lived in a cottage that was made of stone with stain glass windows. The door was small though too small for this creature so he opened the HUGE door that he had built for his friends that were Ogres. “What businesses to yea have coming here to the house of Kolom?” He said in his best voice. “I am Mermai. I come from the house of Ded. Let me in or I shall have nowhere to hide.” Kolom gasped, it was a girl. She had a hood covering her head and the only thing that you could see were her hands. He had remembered hearing this voice before. He gasped again. It was the king’s daughter he must let her in!
“You may come in but you must leave quickly,” Kolom said in his lowest voice he could. “Oh no! I have to stay until the kings warriors pass. They are looking for me. For I have ran away,” Mermai said as she waved her finger waving back and forth. Kolom thought and thought he knew that Mermai was a Human Witch but how could he get out of this situation. Finally, he had an idea. “I have never been to jail and I probably will go to jail. So, how can I get out of this bad luck?” He thought it was very clever of him to think of this since goblins aren’t very smart. next >>>
